
Microsoft recommends that users delete it from their Apple Watch. With the app no longer supported and with the upcoming removal of the watchOS app, users will no longer be able to install or use Microsoft Authenticator on the Apple Watch. The company, however, did not specify which security features are incompatible with watchOS. In an official support page for the Microsoft Authenticator app (via 9to5Google), the company said that the app will be removed as watchOS is incompatible with some of its security features. Microsoft has confirmed that it will remove the Microsoft Authenticator companion app for the Apple Watch from the App Store in January 2023. It was also available on the Apple Watch until now.

The app is available on Android phones, tablets, iPhones, and iPads. It also helps facilitate password-less sign-in to online accounts and backup and restore account credentials and app settings from the cloud. The Microsoft Authenticator app allows users to conveniently and securely sign in to all their online accounts using multi-factor authentication on a wide array of third-party websites, apps, and services.
